GIORGOS MANOUZAS - PAINTER
Vangelis Kotsolakos travels through his works in an inner experiential way in everyday life and its protagonists. His themes are expressed in the realistic rendering of the form. He is primarily interested in conveying with expressive touches, clear colors and tonal intensities the atmosphere and the feeling of a situation and the peculiarity of its uniqueness. These elements make his work genuine and special.
NIKOS MORAITIS - LYRICIST

When I first saw his paintings, I was overwhelmed. Let the experts classify his
charisma. What I do know is that I have rarely seen light come from all colors.
And from the darkest as well.

KONSTANTINOS CHATZIS - DIRECTOR

My acquaintance with the Visual Artist - Painter Vangelis Kotsolakos took place
on the occasion of the play Demonized - Grand Examiner by Fyodor
Dostoevsky, which I directed in 2019. I asked to capture the faces of the actors,
entities. Kotsolakos manages to capture the mental vibrations of the face he
paints, mainly the internal gaps and those that are still unformed away from
emotions that may be inherent in the faces. It reaches the root of the human
face. As if there is from there the only and the only essence of human faces. A
universal kinship of all persons. And yes, he knows that no matter how different
they are, they are all one. Man is always at the center. And man is one thing. A
crack.
